Friday night Alec, Richard et moi went to see a hip-hop concert in an open air theater in a park in Nice. Two French rap groups opened for De La Soul, an American hip-hop group. I noticed that the French love their hip-hop like Americans do. Another thing that I noticed that the French will say the last two numbers of their license plate like Americans will say their area code of their phone number to represent where they’re from. I also noticed that the rap groups have to work a lot harder to get the crowd moving than they have to in America, for the first half of the show the French portion of the audience was just standing with their arms crossed not dancing at all. But once the groups got the audience moving it was almost impossible to get them to stop, one band Hocus-Pocus played three different encores. Overall it was a great cultural experience to see how the French acted at concerts. 06 (Nice) in the house!
